Meerkats are about the size of a squirrel; they are members of the mongoose family. They love to stand on their hind legs to get a better view of the world! They are very curious animals. They hang out together in a large community of 20 or some belong to superfamilies of up to 50 members, according to wikipedia.com.

A group of meerkats is called a “gang” or a “mob.” This video comes to us from the Adelaide Zoo, in Australia and shows a gang of meerkats investigating a ball pit! The first meerkat checks to see if the coast is clear and then the rest coming running! Cute how they all gather and seem to discuss the best way to get in!
