“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me.” It really is a nice thought, but names can and do hurt. Annalee Bielas, 10-years-old has a strategy for being called names. She blocks them out and focuses on the task at hand. Annalee is blind and has been bullied in school because of it.

Her fellow students had judged her without knowing her, and she plans to show them who she is! She will run the 800-meter race in the upcoming track meet! She will hold on to a yellow rope and be guided around the track by her coach and principal! Annalee said the people think she can’t do challenges, but she said that she wants to!
