Service dogs help people who have physical or emotional disabilities. Puppies are selected at a young age and may be raised by a foster family until they start their specialized training. They are chosen because they have a good temperament and stamina. You may have seen service dogs out about in public, they are easily identified by a vest and special harness.

They work hard daily to support and keep the people they work with safe. These special dogs are trained to bring their human partner medicine, wake them up for work, or keep strangers away. But, as the saying goes “All work and no play…” Maddox, a service dog, loves firetruck and sirens. His reaction to the sound of the siren is unusual – was he trained to do that?
