The lunch bell rings! You get a break from class and teachers and can chat with your friends. In Japan, lunch is very different – and it is BETTER! This elementary school in Saitama, Japan has turned lunchtime into a very practical lesson! The school has its own garden and students grow and peel the vegetables that are used for school lunches!

The kitchen staff prepares the food and sets it out for each class to pick up and take back to the classroom. Each class says thank you to the kitchen staff for the food! They don’t just get served their food, they serve each other! Awesome! This should happen in all schools across the globe! It is true that the more you work for something – the more you appreciate it!
