Grab the Kleenex before you watch the video – you may need one at the beginning and another at the end! Animal Aid Unlimited in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India got a call from some railroad workers who told them that a dog had gotten hit by a train. When the Animal Aid team arrived, they saw the devastating injuries the dog had sustained, three of his legs had been crushed when he was struck.

The doctors at Animal Aid assessed his injuries and despite the severity, performed surgery to help save his life. One front leg was amputated completely, and two other legs were only partially amputated. It took over 6 months for the dog, now named Deepak, to recover.
